DO YOUR BEST!

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Sweetie, you’ll come across
Many disappointments
You may be carrying a heavy cross
Hope and faith are your condiments

You can conquer your strife
And you can face any sorrow
No matter what, try to live your best life
Because you are a hero

MISS ZEBRA AND THE JUMPING COMPETITION

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

Miss Zebra entered a jumping competition. The judges didn’t like her legs because they were too skinny.
“You’ll need beautiful, strong legs,” said one of the judges.
Miss Zebra cried because she wanted to impress her mother who’d always made fun of her skinny legs. She convinced the judges to give her a chance. The competition was tough because she had to compete with Mr. Tiger, a five-time world champion. To Mr. Tiger’s dismay, Miss Zebra won the competition.
“It’s not how skinny the legs, but how fast one can jump,” she laughed while holding her trophy in the air.

MISS LION, THE BRAT

Friday, May 15th, 2009

Miss Lion was a brat. She always had everything. Both her parents were very rich and she was an only child. When she asked her parents for anything, if she didn’t get it, she’d throw a fit. When her parents died, they left her many houses and many lands. When the land flooded, Miss Lion’s lifestyle changed overnight. She found herself wandering the streets looking for a place to stay. Finally, she sat down next to a lowly turtle and realized although he was poor no matter where he goes he’ll always have his home.

LITTLE COW AND LITTLE POLAR BEAR.

Saturday, May 9th, 2009

Little Cow and Little Polar Bear Jr. both lived in Cowville and they went to the same school. They were very good friends. Little Cow realized that Little Polar Bear had not been himself because he lost his parents and his home to a storm. He was too proud to tell anyone.
One day, Polar Bear didn’t show up for class. His friend, Little Cow went by his house and noticed that the house was gone. He went and looked for him. He found Little Polar Bear sleeping under a bridge.
“What are you doing here?” asked Little Cow
“This is my new home.”
“No, that’s not a good place for you, you’ll die here.”
“I have no choice,” said Little Polar Bear.
“Where are your parents?”
“They died in the storm.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I didn’t want to impose.”
“But, I am your friend.”
Little Cow told his dad about his friend’s predicament.
“Son, I have enough responsibilities.” He barked.
Little Cow gathered all of his friends and together, they raised money to help Little Polar Bear. Senior Cow was so proud of his son’s accomplishment that he joined in the effort and now Little Polar Bear has a new home.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

Saturday, May 9th, 2009

Mothers are exceptional
And their love unconditional
Blunders are not intentional
And should not be deemed personal

Let us appreciate mother
While loving and cherish her
Since we will not live forever
Let us all try to “rediscover”

It’s really effortless
We don’t even have to express
Nor should we try to regress
All we need is a little finesse

We can begin with gratitude
Which is a great prelude
To an excellent attitude
One that will help us to exude

“Happy Mother’s day to you
Our appreciation is true
And will always continue
Our love is of great value “
